Tigers switch into ODI mood

Bangladesh team will be looking forward to start afresh in the tour match against Cricket South Africa Invitation XI at Bloemfontein today ahead of three-match one-day international against the hosts.
The Tigers suffered two crushing defeats in Test series, respectively by 333 runs and an innings and 254 runs to put them in an embarrassing situation in their first series in South Africa in nine years.
They got some boosts before the ODI series as star all-rounder Sakib al Hasan joined the team along with skipper Mashrafee bin Murtaza, Nasir Hossain and Mohammad Saifuddin who were not part of the Test series.
Opener Tamim Iqbal, who missed the second Test due to a hip muscle strain injury, was recovering fast from his grade-1 injury although he is unlikely to play in the tour match.
Top-order batsmen Imrul Kayes and Soumya Sarkar, who were struggling with their form for quite sometimes, would be looking forward to get into runs before the first one-day international took place at De Beers Diamond Oval, Kimberley on October 15.
Pacers Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed and Rubel Hossain would also try to get back in rhythm in the lone tour match as they unperformed in the two-Test series, which earned them an unusually heavy criticism from Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim.
Cricket South Africa announced a strong squad for the tour match, naming batsman JP Duminy who retired from the Tests before the series against Bangladesh, as captain.
South African veteran batsman AB de Villiers will also make his return to limited over matches through this tour game, having last featured in a Twenty20 match against England in June this year.
Aiden Markram, who made a sensational Test debut against Bangladesh, also has been drafted into the team.
The second one-day international match will take place at Boland Park, Paarl on October 18 whereas the final one-dayer will be played at Buffalo Park, East London on October 22.
