Two more killed in anti-drug drive early Wednesday

Two more suspected drug peddlers were killed in reported gunfights in Cox’s Bazar and Chittagong in anti-drug drives early Wednesday.
Rapid Action Battalion-7 company commander in Cox’s Bazar Major Ruhul Amin said that Md Mojibur Rahman, 42, suspected top dealer of drugs in Netrakona, was killed in a gunfight with the battalion personnel at Kabita Chattar under Cox’s Bazar sadar police station.
He said that the battalion personnel seized a one-shooter gun, three bullets, two cartridges and 6,000 Yaba tablets from the spot.
RAB-7 company commander in Chittagong Lieutenant Commander Ashequr Rahman said that suspected drug peddler Omor Faruk alias Ishak, 35, of Jhaotala area under Kotwali Police Station in Chittagong, was killed in a gunfight with the battalion personnel during an ant-drug drive in Polo Ground area in the port city.
The battalion personnel seized 4,000 Yaba pills, 1 firearm and 10 bullets from the spot.
