PM waits for increase of number of demands by Jatiya Oikya Front

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday said waits for responding to the demands made by Jatiya Oikya Front over next general election as the number of demands is increasing.

‘I am waiting for increase of their number of demands to respond to them. It was four demands initially and now it rose to seven-point charter,’ she said responding to a question regarding the demands of newly formed political combine.

Hasina said freedom of expression, freedom to do politics and journalism exists in Bangladesh. ‘Of course there is scope to do politics on democratic stream… But everyone knows the role of the people who got united now,’ she said.   

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina addresses a press conference on Monday afternoon about the outcome of her recent official visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The press conference began at at Ganabhaban at 4:00pm.

The prime minister went to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday last on a four-day official visit at the invitation of Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, also the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

During her stay in Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Hasina had separate meetings with the Saudi King, and Saudi Crown Prince and deputy prime minister Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz in Riyadh on Wednesday.
