College admission process starts on May 12

Admission process in Class XI at all government and non-government colleges and equivalent institutions will start on May 12 while the classes will begin on July 1, said guideline of education ministry. 
No admission tests will be allowed while the students will be enrolled based on their results in Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations. 
The entire admission process will be online-based (website: www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd) while students can also be admitted by sending text on state-owned Teletalk mobile.
The education ministry on Sunday issued the guideline for admission in Class XI in 2019-20 academic year on its website. 
Students who passed SSC and equivalent examinations from eight general boards, one madrassah board and one technical board in 2017, 2018 and 2019 are eligible for applying for admission between May 12 and May 23. 
At the same time, the students, who will apply for re-check of results, are also eligible for admission. 
Students from Bangladesh Open University’s SSC programme – passed in 2016, 2017 and 2018 and aged maximum 22 years – can also apply for admission.
The students will be allowed to select minimum five and maximum 10 colleges and equivalent institutions for admission. 
All applications will be evaluated between May 24 and May 26. 
The students, whose results will be changed in revaluation, they will be allowed to apply for admission on June 3 and June 4. 
On June 10, names of the applicants selected in first phase will be published. The selected applicants will have to confirm the authorities concerned through SMS between June 11 and June 18 about their admission to the college which will be selected for them.
Results of the second phase on June 21, and results of the third phase will be published on June 25. Students selected in second phase will have to make confirmation of their selection between June 21 and June 23. Students selected in third phase will have to confirm their selection on June 26.
The students will be admitted to the educational institutions between June 27 and June 30. 
The classes will start on July 1. 
The fee for applying online is fixed at Tk 150 and Tk 120 for SMS application. 
Admission fee is fixed at maximum Tk 5,000 for educational institutes under MPO coverage, maximum Tk 9,000 for Bangla medium educational institutes which get MPO benefits partially and maximum Tk 10,000 for English medium educational institutes in Dhaka metropolitan 
area.
Admission fee is fixed at maximum Tk 1,000 for educational institutes at upazila levels, maximum Tk 2,000 in district headquarters and maximum Tk 3,000 for other metropolitan areas.
