Tritiyo Matra steps into its 17th Year

Tritiyo Matra celebrates 15 years of continuous success and moves into its 16th year on 17th July 2018, Tuesday. On this occasion, we would like to congratulate and thank all of our viewers, friends, admirers, supporters, contributors and motivators, for whom we could make it this far.

On this day 15 years ago, Tritiyo Matra with its first telecast truly introduced a new dimension to the socio political mindset of the nation, by offering a neutral ground for open discussions, constructive criticisms and dialogues between the social leaders, intellectuals, politicians and bureaucrats of the nation; and made it possible for the general people to watch them closely how they act, react, discuss and defend their ideologies, opinions or stand-points when exposed and being questioned by their oppositions. It created a huge impact by generating tremendous awareness amongst the mass about their country’s politics and socio-economic situations that enabled them to better judge the existing leadership and developed their strong view points about betterment of this nation.

Since then Tritiyo Matra has never stopped asking questions to the country's leadership for accountability, transparency and consistency of their speech and deeds, by playing a moderator’s role which represents an honest, curious and fearless voice "of the people, by the people and for the people" – ensuring democracy in its true meaning. The journey has not been easy, and never in all those 5460 days, but we at Tritiyo Matra decided not to give up, or let loose in our efforts, so we never took a break or rested, not even for a single day and operated 7 days a week, 30 days a month, 365 days a year for the last 15 years. Otherwise we would not be able to broadcast Five Thousand four hundred sixty (5460) Episodes till date.

গণতন্ত্র এবং নির্বাচন নিয়ে সমস্যা পশ্চিমা দেশেও আছে। আমেরিকায়ও আমরা নির্বাচন নিয়ে সমস্যা দেখছি। তারা নিজেদের বিষয় নিয়ে ব্যস্ত। আমাদের এগুলো নিয়ে মাথা ঘামানোর সময় তাদের নেই। জনগণ চায় না এমন কিছু বাইরের কোনো শক্তি ষড়যন্ত্র করে বাস্তবায়ন করে দেবে বা পশ্চিমারা চাপ দিয়ে আমাদের দেশে একটা ভালো গণতন্ত্র করে দেবে সেটা মনে করার কোনো সুযোগ নেই।

Tritiyo Matra: Year in Review 2009

To select the “Britons of Bangladesh, 2009” Tritiyo Matra, have come up with a list of notable Britons of 2009 – “not necessarily the most admired, but those who left an indelible mark in our minds last year”. We are about to start our polls on different categories, one by one to facilitate this opinion survey, and continue throughout the month of January 2010, to reach our top 10, including our Briton of the Year.

Some Question on Your "Performance"

This initial survey revealed a variety of possible reasons which were truly astonishing for us, and we knew we had to dig in further before we could share our quantitative findings. But, presence of some common elements also reflected a general psychological perception of the people, from which a qualitative summary of our findings could be outlined.

Bangladesh Assesment 2013.

According to partial data collected by the South Asia Terrorism Portal (SATP), the country witnessed 18 terrorism/insurgency-related fatalities in total, including 17 militants and one civilian, in 14 incidents of killing through 2012 (data till December 9). Three Islamist terrorism linked fatalities occurred, including one civilian and two terrorists; in 2010, six such fatalities were recorded, including three civilians and three militants. This is a significant contrast with 2005, when Bangladesh experienced 35 Islamist terrorism linked fatalities, including 26 civilians and nine terrorists.
