Tritiyo Matra steps into its 18th Year

Tritiyo Matra celebrates 17 years of continuous success and moves into its 18th year on 17th July 2020, Friday. On this occasion, we would like to congratulate and thank all of our viewers, friends, admirers, supporters, contributors and motivators, for whom we could make it this far.

On this day 17 years ago, Tritiyo Matra with its first telecast truly introduced a new dimension to the socio political mindset of the nation, by offering a neutral ground for open discussions, constructive criticisms and dialogues between the social leaders, intellectuals, politicians and bureaucrats of the nation; and made it possible for the general people to watch them closely how they act, react, discuss and defend their ideologies, opinions or stand-points when exposed and being questioned by their oppositions. It created a huge impact by generating tremendous awareness amongst the mass about their country’s politics and socio-economic situations that enabled them to better judge the existing leadership and developed their strong view points about betterment of this nation.

Since then Tritiyo Matra has never stopped asking questions to the country's leadership for accountability, transparency and consistency of their speech and deeds, by playing a moderator’s role which represents an honest, curious and fearless voice "of the people, by the people and for the people" – ensuring democracy in its true meaning. By this time lots of global experts and policy makers also participated in this program. Over the periods Tritiyo Matra has become a global platform to ideate, debate and discuss. The journey has not been easy, and never in all those 6192 days, but we at Tritiyo Matra decided not to give up, or let loose in our efforts, so we never took a break or rested, not even for a single day and operated 7 days a week, 30 days a month, 365 days a year for the last 17 years. Otherwise we would not be able to broadcast Six Thousand One Hundred and Ninety Three (6193) episodes till date.

Tritiyo Matra: Year in Review 2009

To select the “Britons of Bangladesh, 2009” Tritiyo Matra, have come up with a list of notable Britons of 2009 – “not necessarily the most admired, but those who left an indelible mark in our minds last year”. We are about to start our polls on different categories, one by one to facilitate this opinion survey, and continue throughout the month of January 2010, to reach our top 10, including our Briton of the Year.

Some Question on Your "Performance"

This initial survey revealed a variety of possible reasons which were truly astonishing for us, and we knew we had to dig in further before we could share our quantitative findings. But, presence of some common elements also reflected a general psychological perception of the people, from which a qualitative summary of our findings could be outlined.

Bangladesh Assesment 2013.

According to partial data collected by the South Asia Terrorism Portal (SATP), the country witnessed 18 terrorism/insurgency-related fatalities in total, including 17 militants and one civilian, in 14 incidents of killing through 2012 (data till December 9). Three Islamist terrorism linked fatalities occurred, including one civilian and two terrorists; in 2010, six such fatalities were recorded, including three civilians and three militants. This is a significant contrast with 2005, when Bangladesh experienced 35 Islamist terrorism linked fatalities, including 26 civilians and nine terrorists.
