Factional clash kills BCL activist

An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League, student associate of the ruling Awami League, was stabbed to death and two others were injured in a clash between two factions of the organisation at Reazuddin Bazar in Chittagong on Saturday afternoon over establishing supremacy. 
The deceased was Yasin Arafat, 24, a third year political science student at Chittagong City College and a resident of Satkania upazila in the district. 
The injured were Md Harun, 22, a second year student at the same college, and Md Fahim, 24. 
The police arrested Harun for his alleged involvement with the attack on Yasin. 
According to Chittagong metropolitan police deputy commissioner SM Mostain Hossain, two groups of local BCL activists, armed with sharp weapons, engaged in a clash in front of Golam Rosul Market around 4:00pm. 
Yasin was declared dead after he was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital with stab injuries, said Mostain.
