Left leaning youth leaders for peaceful world

Left leaning youth leaders from different countries on Monday reiterated their commitment to put up a united fight against fundamentalism, sectarianism, terrorism, imperialism, discriminations, corruption and unemployment to create a peaceful world for the future generations.
They raised their voice at an international seminar organized by Bangladesh Juba Moitree at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity.
The keynote paper, ‘Raise Voice for Employment, Secularism, Democracy, Peace and Social Progress was presented by YUB president Sabbaha Ali Khan Colince.
He said that due to growing social discriminations a major portion of young people were suffering social and political discriminations.
‘We want to raise our voice against all sorts of discriminations, exploitation, sectarianism, m, terrorism, corruption, state injustice, poverty and privatization,’ he said.
He reiterated firm commitments to save the Sunderbans at any cost.
Bangladesh Youth Union general secretary Hafiz Adnan Riad said that the country’s youth were facing severe unemployment problems.
He said employment remains elusive for the youth who cannot afford to pay bribes.
He called for rooting out bribery from the society.
He said commercialization of education and health service were proving discriminatory to people who can’t afford these services.
Former Bangladesh Chatra League leader Marufa Akhter Popy exhorted the youth to raise their voice demanding pollution free environment, drug free society.
Democratic Youth Federation of India secretary Avoy Mukharjee described neo liberalism and sectarianism as matters of serious concern for the South Asian countries.
He said 835 communal riots took place in India since Narendra Modi took power two years ago. 
National vice president of Revolutionary Youth Association of India Navkiran Natt said that the problems facing people, and particularly the youths in India, Asia and across the world, must be addressed.
Turkey’s Patriotic Party Vanguard Youth leaders Hakki Erman Ergincan and Elif Ilhamoglu, adviser to Youth Federation of Nepal Top Bahadur BC and Stefan from Germany spoke among others.
This year, Juba Maitree organized its international seminar on the theme ‘Unite for the Rights of the Youths.’
