PM hopeful about Teesta

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday expressed her firm optimism about solution of Teesta water sharing issue and signing of a deal with India in this regard.
‘I’m very much hopeful about solution of Teesta water sharing issue as West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has come here ... I’ll talk to her on the matter,’ Sheikh Hasina told a reception hosted by Bangladesh high commission in her honour at Bangladesh House here in the evening.
Responding to a question from Indian journalists, the Bangladesh premier said she is very much impressed with the courtesy showed by Indian prime minister Narendra Modi to receive her at the airport breaking the official procedure.
The prime minister said Bangladesh wants Indian cooperation to build the Ganga Barrage which would be beneficial to both countries. 
About her staying in Rastrapati Bhaban during her current visit, Sheikh Hasina said it’s not new for her as she stayed at Rastrapati Bhaban before also.
PM’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim said heads of diplomatic missions of different countries, eminent personalities of India and leading intellectuals joined the reception. 
Sheikh Hasina arrived here this afternoon on a four-day official visit to India at the invitation of her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
