Overenthusiastic govt employees a barrier to rule of law: chief justice

Chief justice SK Sinha on Wednesday said the rule of law cannot be established in the country for some overenthusiastic government employees.
‘They’re harming the judiciary as well as misguiding the government by providing wrong reports to the head of the government,’ he said while addressing a reception accorded to him by the district bar council.
The chief justice said the judiciary, people, state and the law and order are being affected in the process.
He said once the decisions of the full court used to be implemented in the past as per the rules. ‘But, nowadays those are not implemented as the prime minister is misguided. I don’t want to say anything more as they’ll feel embarrassed,’ he added.
Earlier, SK Sinha visited the district judge and chief judicial magistrate courts.
