Ashulia RMG factory fire under control
The fire at Medlar Apparels readymade garment factory at Ashulia of Savar, on the outskirts of the capital, was brought under control early Sunday.
Fire Service and Civil Defence duty officer Farid uddin said the fire broke out at the first floor of the eight-storey building of Medlar Apperals Limited around 9:15pm on Saturday.
On information, 10 fire fighting units went to the spot and brought the fire under control around 1:35am on Sunday, the duty officer said.
The reason behind the incident could not be known immediately, he said.
