Hasina for all-out campaign for next poll

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday asked Awami League leaders and activists to go for an all out door to door campaign for the next general election.
Addressing AL Central Working Committee meeting at her Ganabhban residence, Hasina, also the Awami League president, also asked all party workers to ‘oversee’ the voter list updating by the Election Commission prior to the general election so that no new AL voter remained out of the list.
She instructed party workers to go to people to propagate ‘success and development’ of consecutive Awami League-led alliance government since 2009, said party central working members.
Emerging from the meeting, AL presidium member Pijush Kanti Bhattachrya said that their central working committee mainly discussed the party’s next election preparations.
‘Prime minister has directed us to oversee the voter list update in order to ensure that no Awami League voters remained out of the list,’ he said. 
In the meeting, Hasina also instructed the party leaders to go for an all out the door to door campaign for next general election, said AL information and research secretary Afzal Husain.
The meeting continued more than four hours beginning at 5:00pm.
Earlier at the onset of meeting, seeking another term to complete the work of the mega projects, Hasina expressed her firm resolve to celebrate the golden jubilee of the country’s independence during the tenure of the next Awami League government.
