‘Extremist’ killed in M’singh blast

A suspected extremist was killed in a blast in a rented house in remote village of Bhaluka in Mymensingh on Sunday evening.
Police cordoned off the tin-shed house at village Kathor in Habirbari after the blast which took place about 6:30pm.
‘One has been killed and his two hands have blown. 
We are at primary stage of the investigation,’ Mymensingh range police deputy inspector general Nibash Chandra Majhi told New Age. 
A counter-terrorism official at police headquarters told New Age that the blast left a man killed and his wife along with two children left the house immediately.
The official said they rented the house a couple of days ago and after the blast police rushed to the spot and found the man lying on the ground with explosive. 
‘We suspect he was an extremist and killed in the blast inside the militant den,’ the official said. A team of Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime in Dhaka rushed to the spot.
