Bangladesh-Myanmar meeting begins

Bangladesh and Myanmar started a meeting in Dhaka on Monday morning as Myanmar is expected to formally express intent to set up a process on repatriation of Rohingyas fled from Rakhine. 

Kyaw Tint Swe, minister of Myanmar state counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi's office, arrived in Dhaka last night to join the meeting. 

He is likely to inform Myanmar's position on repatriation of forcibly displaced people from Rakhine State to Bangladesh, officials said. 

Foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali is leading the Bangladesh side.

Over 5,07,000 people of minority Rohingya community fled indiscriminate murder, rape, arson by Myanmar security forces and religious bigots in Rakhine till Sunday since August 25 raising presence of Myanmar nationals to about 9,27,000 over three decades in Bangladesh
