Govt has plans to destroy young community: Khaleda

Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia on Sunday claimed that the present ‘repressor’ government had developed a blueprint to destroy the country’s young generation so that they could not mobilse or take part in protests against the government ‘misrule’.
Khaleda made the remarks in a statement condemning and protesting at the arrest and torture of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal general secretary, Akramul Hasan, in the name of police interrogation.
The government considers the young people opponents, she said, adding
that as a result, thousands of leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal, student wing of BNP, were being detained across the country to prevent the youth force from taking part in courageous movement against the present ‘misrule’.
Khaleda said the government’s purpose was to stick to the ‘the illegal power’ they had obtained through crushing the young community under ‘horrible misrule’ and to scare them by arresting and torturing in the name of ‘remand.’
BNP chairperson said the people had got united to foil the government plan to destroy the nationalist force.
She demanded immediate of the JCD general secretary.
