Wife of slain Awami League leader Faruk Ahmed on Tuesday announced her aspiration to be the party’s candidate for the next general election from Tangail -5 (Sadar) constituency.

Nahar Ahmed came up with the announcement at a press briefing at Tangail Press Club this morning.

The ruling Bangladesh Awami League’s Md Sanowar Hossain is the incumbent lawmaker from Tangail-5 constituency.
