DITF-2018 looking to break new ground

Around 589 pavilions, mini pavilions and stalls, including Bangabandhu Pavilion, will be set up in the month-long Dhaka International Trade Fair -2018 scheduled to start on January 1, 2018.

According to the sources at Export Promotion Bureau, the 23rd edition of the fair will be arranged on 12.50 lakh square feet area where one Bangabandhu Pavilion, one trade information center of EPB, 65 premium pavilions, 16 normal pavilions, 23 foreign pavilions, six reserved pavilions, 29 normal mini pavilions, 38 premier mini pavilions, five foreign mini pavilions, seven reserve mini pavilions, 72 premier stalls, 13 foreign premier stalls, 253 general stalls, 31 food stalls, 20 reserved stalls for female, three restaurants and three centers for mother and children servicing will be set up.

Apart from the business stalls, amusement park for children, mother and child center, separate booths and security service rooms for male and female, fire service station, blood donation center, complaint center of the Consumer Rights Protection, power grid sub-station, generation station and space for car parking will be arranged inside the fair compound.

The authorities are passing a very busy time for taking the last moment preparation to ensure the smooth operation of the fair.

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the fair on January 1.
