Question leaked, now with answer

Parents of many Secondary School Certificate examinees alleged on Saturday that multiple choice questions of Bangladesh and Global Studies held on the day were leaked along with answers about 60 minutes before the exam began, rendering futile all the government’s efforts to check the malpractice.
With this, the question leak in this year SSC exam entered into its 10th consecutive day as the nuisance popped up before every paper since the beginning of the exams on February 1, while for the first time, the High Court on Thursday appointed two five-member committees including a judicial for finding out those involved in leaking papers.
On the day, secondary and higher education division secretary Sohorab Hossain said that it was not possible to stop the question leaks in the existing exam system, while coordinator of inter-education board subcommittee chairman Shahedul Khabir Chowdhury, also Dhaka education board acting chairman, once again, on Saturday denied the allegation of question leak.
At least nine people were arrested in Khulna for their alleged involvement in leaking Bangladesh and Global Studies question taking to 95 the number of people arrested since the beginning of the secondary terminal exams.
The perpetrators continued to leak questions despite series of government steps like ban on cell phone use around 200 metres of exam centre, closure of coaching centres during exams and students needing to take seats 30 minutes ahead of starting of exams and enhanced monitoring while opening question packet.
Multiple choice questions of Bangladesh and Global Studies were available on social media sites about 9:00am, which matched including the order of the actual question paper given to examinees when the exam began at 10:00am.
Images of B set of the multiple choice questions along with solutions were posted on several Facebook groups and a Whatsapp group and the leaked questions were found identical to the questions given to the examinees at exam hall, said frustrated examinees and their guardians.
The leaked multiple choice portion of the question was found posted on Facebook groups ‘PSC • JSC • SSC • HSC Exam Helping Center’ at 9:04am and a Whatsapp group ‘BD O Bisshoporichoy 200 Taka’ at 9:03am, they said.
Guardians alleged that question of Bangla first paper, Bangla second paper, English first paper, English second paper, religion and moral studies, mathematics, information and communication education, physics and chemistry were posted on different social media sites well ahead of exams which matched the actual question paper given to examinees at the halls in February 1-15.
In Khulna, Rapid Action Battalion arrested nine people including four examinees for their alleged involvement in question leaking and buying the leaked questions of Bangladesh and Global Studies and other papers, before the exam started, said RAB -6 official Md Enayet Hossain Mannan.
Among the arrested, RAB arrested Khairul Islam Shawon, a Higher Secondary Certificate student, who was selling the leaked questions to others after collecting them from other sources, Mannan said.
A case was filed against them under Public Exam (Offences) 1980.
