Quader urges nat’l unity against drugs

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader on Tuesday called on all political parties to form a national unity in favour of the ongoing anti-drug special drives.
After attending an iftar party organised by Noakhali Samiti at Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh in the capital, Quader told reporters said, ‘People from urban and rural areas are lauding the drive and they support it saying the drive will save the youths from the clutch of destruction.’
But Bangladesh Nationalist Party would not support it as they would not tolerate any good step of the government, Quader said.
Terming the ongoing drive long-awaited, Quader said that there was no alternative to protecting youths from drug addiction.
