BNP would be rejected by people if it does not accept Gazipur polls results: OQ

Ruling Awami League general secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said Tuesday evening that voting trends in Gazipur City showed that the popularity of AL candidate Jahangir Alam increased since the last mayoral election.
He was giving AL’s reaction about polling in Gazipur at an impromptu news conference at the AL president’s Dhanmandi 
office at around 6.30PM.
Obaidul Quader said that the voting trend showed, ‘most probably our mayor candidate would win with a big margin.’
He called upon BNP leaders to accept the people’s verdict.
He said that the people would reject BNP in the next general election if it does not accept the people’s verdict.
Obaidul Quader said that the mayoral polls in Gazipur was held peacefully and the voters cast their votes freely without any obstructions.    
He said that AL began winning mayoral polls in the Khulna City and it would continue to win in future.
AL joint general secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak, organising secretaries Ahmad Hossain, Mohibul Hassan Choudhoury, central leaders Biplab Barua were present at the news conference.
