Heavy rain inundates Chittagong city

Due to torrential rain for the last two days, many places in the city and its adjoining areas went under knee-deep water, causing immense sufferings to the residents.

Besides, the vehicular movement on Chittagong-Rangamati road remained suspended from Tuesday morning as the road went under water in Raozan following heavy rainfall and onrush from the upstream, said Abdul Karim, officer-in-charge of Raozan Highway Police Station.
