‘A’ team leaves for Ireland tour

Bangladesh A team on Saturday left Dhaka for Dublin to play a full series against their Irish counterparts in their first overseas engagement in nearly three years.
Batsman Mominul Haque led the A team, which last toured overseas in October 2015 when they visited South Africa and Zimbabwe.
The team, however, had few series at home since their African safari, most notably against Sri Lanka in June-July.
Mominul was named skipper of the team for the five-match one-day series, which would start in Wicklow on Wednesday.
Batsman Soumya Sarkar will lead the team
in three-match Twenty20 series.
Soumya, however, will miss some one-day matches due to his involvement in the forthcoming Twenty20 series against West Indies.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Mithun was called up to replace him in the A team for the one-day series.
The second and third one-day matches of the tour will be held at Oak Hill CC, Wicklow respectively on August 3 and 5 while two Dublin grounds will host the next two one-dayers on August 8 and 10.
The three Twenty20 matches will be held on
August 13, 15 and 17 in Dublin.
