Jatiya Party to be in government

The parliamentary group of HM Ershad-led Jatiya Party on Thursday unanimously decided to be part of the government as they got votes being part of the Awami League-led alliance.

They found no logic to be in the opposition they did electioneering together with the ruling Awami League activist before the 11th national election and pledged to the voters with dream of forming an alliance government.  

The party’s twenty MPs following their oath taking held the meeting at the opposition leader’s office at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with party’s senior co-chairman Raushan Ershad.

The party chairman HM Ershad was not present at the meeting and he did not take oath on the day for his illness.
