FF Foundation receives 2 ambulances from India

Two ambulances, provided by India, were formally handed over to the National Freedom Fighters Foundation on Tuesday.
Liberation War affairs minister AKM Mozammel Haque attended the function held at the ministry as chief guest while Indian high commissioner in Dhaka Harsh Vardhan Shringla as guest of honour.
Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation AJM Nasir Uddin, chairman of the National Freedom Fighters Foundation SM Jahangir Alam, senior vice president of National Freedom Fighters Foundation Monoranjan Ghosal were also present.
Each of the ambulances will be utilised in Dhaka and Chittagong areas for movement of freedom fighters’ patients from rural areas to cities for medical treatment.
Recognising the exemplary works of the foundation for the welfare of freedom fighters, Indian prime minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Bangladesh in June last year announced to provide two ambulances to the National Freedom Fighters Foundation as gift.
The National Freedom Fighters Foundation is a government registered organisation, established for the welfare of freedom fighters.
