Khaleda Zia hosts iftar in honour of foreign diplomats

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday took her iftar with the international diplomats stationed in Dhaka.
Khaleda hosted the iftar party at Hotel Westin in the capital in honor of the diplomats.
She exchanged pleasantries with the guests.
The ambassadors, high commissioners and representatives of foreign missions of about 35 countries attended the iftar, the sundown meal for the fasting Muslims.
The diplomats represented USA, UK, European Union, France, India, Norway, Egypt, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Vatican City, Pakistan, China, Palestine and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Khaleda was flanked by US ambassador Marcia Bloom Bernicat, UK high commissioner Alison Blake, Dean of Diplomatic Corps and Egyptian ambassador Mahmoud Ezzat, European Union ambassador Pierre Mayaudon, ambassadors and high commissioners of France, Norway, Vatican City and Sri Lanka, respectively.
The iftar was followed by a dinner.
Eminent citizens, including, Zafrullah Chowdhury, Emajuddin Ahamed, Shahdin Malik, Saleh Uddin Ahmed, Mahbub Ullah, Asif Nazrul and Mahfuz Ullah, also attended the party.
BNP leaders Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Moudud Ahmed, Mahbubur Rahman, Jamiruddin Sircar, ASM Hannan Shah, Mirza Abbas, M Morshed Khan, Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Reaz Rahman, Sabihuddin Ahmed, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Asaduzzaman Ripon and Shama Obaed, among others, were also present.
A munajat was offered before the iftar.
