Regent’s Shahed taken to hospital with chest pain
The Anti-Corruption Commission on Tuesday took Regent Hospital chairman Md Shahed Karim to a hospital on an emergency basis after he complained of chest pain before his interrogation for the second day in a money laundering case.
An ACC officer confirmed New Age that its investigating officer Mohammad Shahjahan Miraj went to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University with Shahed as the accused claimed that he was suffering from chest pain since the early morning.
The official said that the commission would take next step after necessary tests.
Shahed was kept in ACC custody on Monday night as the commission started interrogating him in connection with a case over swindling money from Padma Bank, formerly known as Farmers Bank, through willfully defaulting loan repayment.
