Minor girl killed after ‘rape’ in Chattogram

A seven-year-old girl was killed allegedly after rape in the Port Colony area of Chattogram city on Sunday morning.

Mahfuzur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Bandar Police Station, said that, being informed by locals, they recovered the body from an abandoned house in the area at about 11:30am.

The body was sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital morgue for post mortem examination, the OC said, and added that the victim’s father was a rickshaw puller and mother was a beggar.

A Criminal Investigation Department team visited the spot, he said.
