Did David Cameron photobomb Sergio Aguero and China's Xi Jinping selfie?

A president, a prime minister and one of the world's best footballers walk onto a soccer field. Not long after a selfie of the trio becomes the talk of social media.

Said selfie involves Chinese President Xi Jinping and British Prime Minister David Cameron teaming up with Manchester CIty's star Argentine striker Sergio Aguero.

But was Cameron supposed to get in on the act? Or did he take nuclear action by photobombing the selfie?

In the court of social media, the British politician's place in the picture was dubbed by many as "awkward."

The trio were at City's training ground Friday as part of the Chinese president's state visit to the UK.

While Xi is reportedly a Manchester United fan, it didn't stop him from posing with Aguero for a quick photograph.

Both Xi and Cameron watched Manuel Pellegrini, the City manager, conduct training before meeting several other members of the club, notably chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak and head of the Elite Development Patrick Vieira.

A special moment for Xi during the trip to Manchester was the induction of former China international Sun Jihai into the National Football Museum's Hall of Fame.

Sun played for Manchester City on 130 occasions between 2002 and 2008 and was the first Chines player to score in the Premier League.

It has been quite a week for the Chinese president -- he has enjoyed dinner with Queen Elizabeth II and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and was also treated to a pint of beer and fish and chips at a traditional British pub.
