Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, better known as Sheikh Selim (born 02 February 1949) was a Bangladeshi politician, former minister and incumbent Member of Parliament representing Gopalganj-2 constituency. He is a Presidium Member of Bangladesh Awami League.
Selim passed SSC in 1963 from St. Joseph's High School, Khulna and HSC in 1965 from Technical College, Dhaka. He obtained his B.Sc. degree from Dhaka University in 1968 and Diploma in Statistics from the same university in 1971.
Selim is the nephew of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, former President of Bangladesh. He is the younger brother of Jubo League founder Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani. He is a cousin of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Selim was elected as the first Member of Parliament from the then Faridpur-10 constituency as a candidate of Bangladesh Awami League in the second parliamentary elections of 1979. He is the current parliament member for the constituency of Gopalganj-2. He has won parliamentary elections from Gopalganj-2 seven times. He served as the Minister for Health & Family Welfare in the First Sheikh Hasina Cabinet. He is the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health & Family Welfare Ministry.
