Architect Mubasshar Hussain (27 December 1943 - 02 January 2023) was a Bangladeshi architect, urban planner, social worker and educator. He was the President of Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB). He was the principal architect of Assoconsult Ltd. He was the president of Commonwealth Association of Architects. He also served as the president of Architects Regional Council, Asia ARCASIA.
Hussain was born in Wari, Dhaka. He graduated in architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1972.
Hussain participated in Libaration War of 1971. He is the Managing Director of Assoconsult Ltd. and Neer Ltd. He was Founder Chairman and Director of Global Insurance Ltd. He was Former President of Brothers Union Club Ltd. and Former Director of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). He was also an Honorary Member of American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Hussain’s notable works are Proshika Bhaban, Grameen Bank Building, Chittagong Rail Station.

Hussain was suffering from various physical complications for a long time before his death. He died on 02 January 2023. According to Mubasshar's last wish, his body will be donated to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital.
