Mamun Rashid (born 29 August 1961) is a Bangladeshi institution builder, business leader and economic analyst who have all round knowledge about wholesale banking like Treasury/Global Markets, Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, Financial Institutions and Public Sector Financing. He also has expertise in corporate restructuring, re-engineering, technology transformation and risk management.

Rashid was born in Comilla district. He was a cadet of Faujdarhat Cadet College. He stood 7th position in SSC and 2nd position in HSC Social Science merit list under Comilla Board. He completed his BSc (Hons.) and Masters in Economics under Jahangirnagar University. He got MBA in strategic management under Henley Business School, UK.

Rashid have done macro audits or portfolio reviews in several countries in Asia, Europe and Africa. He also has in teaching profession in various business subjects (management, strategic management, service marketing, strategic marketing, commercial banking and entrepreneurship) for last 24 years as an adjunct faculty, adjunct professor and full time professor. He is interested in financial sector (including capital markets, life insurance, SME and infrastructure financing) and pharmaceuticals. He also interested to run a global Life insurance Company, Telecom, FMCG or healthcare service provider as CEO.

Rashid have been running a global 'big 4' professional services firm for last 6 years with significant contribution in govt transformation & reform, revenue reform, corporate finance and automation & technology upgradation of local firms.

Rashid authored 15 books on contemporary business and economic issues. He is a regular columnist on business and economics for last 35 years.
