Md. Monirul Haque Chowdhury(born 1946) is a Bangladeshi politician, Liberation War organizer and former Member of Parliament represented Comilla-9 constituency. He is one of the Advisors to BNP Chairperson.
Chowdhury was born in a village called Noygram in Sadar Dakshin Upazila of Comilla district.He got his Masters degree in 1969.
Chowdhury was the president of Bangladesh Chhatra League from 1974 to 1975. Later he joined theJatiya Party. In the third parliamentary elections of 1986, he was elected as a Member of Parliament for the first time from Comilla-9 constituency on the nomination of Jatiya Party. In the fifth national election of 1991, he was re-elected Member of Parliament from the same constituency on behalf of the Jatiya Party but lost the 1996 national election as a candidate of the Jatiya Party. Later he joinedBangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). In the 8th parliamentary elections of 2001, he was re-elected as a Member of Parliament from the same constituency on the nomination of BNP. In the 2016 elections, he was a candidate for the Comilla-10 constituency in the Bangladesh Nationalist Party but lost the set.
Chowdhury is the advisor to the BNP chairperson and the coordinator of the Jatiya Oikya Front.
