Zahiduzzaman Faruque (01 January 1950 – 19 August 2021) was a Bangladeshi jourmalist. He was the Economic Editor of Ittefaq, the Editor of the Daily Economy (Arthaneeti) and the Bangladesh Head of the Kyodo News Service in Japan. He was a permanent member of the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), a dignified organization of journalists and the Economic Reporters Forum (ERF). He was also a life member of the Bangladesh Economic Association, an organization of economists.

Faruque was in Bhanga of Faridpur district to an aristocratic Muslim family. In 1968 he was admitted to the Department of Economics in Dhaka University. He obtained his Honors and Masters Degrees in 1973 with distinction. He started his career as a reporter for Ittefaq in 1972 when he was a student.

Faruque was the President of Overseas Correspondents Association Bangladesh (OCAB) and South Asian Free Media Association (SAFMA) Bangladesh. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of North South University, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Eastern Housing Society and a Director of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission.

Faruque died of cancer on 19 August 2021.
