Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal (born 31 December 1955) is a Bangladeshi politician, lawyer and former Member of Parliament represented Barisal-2 (Wazirpur-Banaripara) constituency. Now he is a Joint Secretary General of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
Alal was born in Barisal sadar upazila of Barisal district. He passed his Undergraduate and Postgraduate in Economics from Dhaka University. Then he completed his LLB and joins the legal profession.
Alal got involved in politics when he was a student of Barisal BM College. As a student, he was involved in the politics of the Bangladesh Chhatra Union but in 1973, he resigned from the Chhatra Union in writing. In 1978, Alal joined the Barisal District Juba Dal and became active in politics again.
Alal was elected as a Member of Parliament in Barisal-2 (Wazirpur-Banaripara) constituency as a candidate of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in the Sixth Parliamentary Election of 15 February 1996 and the Eighth Parliamentary Election of 2001.
