Nur-e-Alam Siddique (26 May 1940 - 29 March 2023) was a Bangladeshi politician, businessman and former Member of Parliament represented Jessore-2 constituency. He was a member of the 1st Jatiya Sangsad. Siddique is one of the four caliphs of Bangabandhu, one of the organizers of the Liberation War. He was one of the student leaders during the liberation war. He was an activist of 'Swadhin Bangla Biplobi Parishad' (also known as Nucleus) and leader of Chhatra Sangram Parishad and former chairman of Chhatra League Foundation. He is known to be one of the bearers of history in Bangladesh.

Siddique was born in Jhenaidah district. He came from an upright and highly politically oriented astute family background guided by the basic fundamentals of good educated moral teachings and serve for the betterment of the nation. He completed his Master’s degree in three different majors (Political Science, Bengali literature and History) from the reputed University of Dhaka with distinction. He is also enrolled as an advocate and a member of Supreme Court Bar Association.

Siddique was one of the organizers of the freedom struggle and liberation war of Bangladesh. He was one of the so-called 'four caliphs' during the war of liberation. On 1 March 1971, he played a leading role in the formation of Swadhin Bangla Chhatra Sangram Parishad along with student leaders like Sirajul Alam Khan, Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni, Abdur Razzak, Kazi Aref Ahmed, Tofail Ahmed, Abdul Quddus Makhan, Shahjahan Siraj, ASM Abdur Rob and others.

Siddique has held assignments of the most responsible positions as the Central Committee President of Bangladesh Chhatra League, as well as the Founder Secretary General of Bangladesh Jubo League.

Siddique has been elected as the Member of Parliament of the first national assembly of Bangladesh and subsequently, became member of the Bangladesh Constitution formation committee as well as served as the Chairman of various Parliamentary Standing Committees’ from 1973 to 1975. He was the convener of Former Chhatra League Members Foundation.
