Golam Maula Rony (born 07 April 1967) is a Bangladeshi politician, Businessman, Columnist and former Member of Parliament represented Patuakhali-3 constituency. He was elected a member of the National Parliament on the nomination of Bangladesh Awami League in the 2008 election. He joined Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in 26 November 2018.

Rony was born in Sadarpur Upazila of Faridpur District. His father's name is Samsuddin Munshi and mother's name is Monowara Begum. Although he spent his childhood in his village Char Bhadrashan, he moved to Patuakhali with his family in 1974. After completing his primary education in Faridpur, he completed secondary education from Ulania Hat High school, Galachipa, Patuakhali and higher secondary education from Dhaka College. He then obtained a Master's degree with honors in Law from the University of Dhaka and studied the same subject at the University of London.

Rony started his career with journalism. At the end of the eighties, he changed his profession with the experience of working in the news department and editing department of some traditional daily and weekly newspapers of the country. Later, he got a good understanding of the nature and style of international business by working in several multinational companies and started his own business in 1991. Rony has shipping and textile business. He is the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Saybolt Group and also the owner of dnewsbd.com, an online daily.

In addition to success in business, Rony started various public welfare activities and entered the national politics. He was elected as a Member of Parliament in 2008 on the nomination of Bangladesh Awami League in the parliamentary seat consisting of Dasmina-Galachipa upazila of Patuakhali district. He did not get the nomination of Awami League in the 10th National Parliament in 2014 elections because he criticized his own party Awami League in various television programs, columns published in newspapers and magazines.

In 2015, Rony participated as an independent candidate in Dhaka South City Corporation and was defeated. He joined the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on 26 November 2018 and got the nomination of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party for the Patuakhali-3 seat in the 2018 elections.
