Lt. Col. (Retd.) Muhammad Faruk Khan (born 18 September 1951) is a Bangladeshi politician and incumbent Member of Parliament representing Gopalganj-1 constituency. Khan completed his graduation from Pakistan Military Academy and holds a Masters in Defense Studies from Defense Services and Staff College in Mirpur. He started his professional life as a commissioned officer in the then Pakistan Army and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from Bangladesh Army. He also received higher education in Defense related subjects from the United States of America (USA).
Khan served the Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism of Bangladesh government. He was elected lawmaker for five times in a row since the 7th parliamentary elections in 1996. He worked as a member of the parliamentary standing committees on government institutions affairs and youth and sports ministry. Khan is serving as a Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Foreign Affairs after 11th parliament election.
Khan also served an industries and commerce secretary of Bangladesh Awami League and now he holds one of the Presidium Member of the same, the highest body of the party.
Khan is married to Nilufer Faruk Khan, a social worker. Together they have two daughters Qantara K Khan and Qareena K Khan.
