Yussuf Abdullah Harun (born 15 November 1947) is an eminent leader of Bangladesh business community, politician and Incumbent Member of Parliament representing Cumilla-3 constituency.
Harun had a brilliant academic career. He obtained B.com. (Hons.) Degree from University of Dhaka in 1967 and Qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
Harun started his business career as an entrepreneur just after completion of his education and became a prominent industrialist of the country. He was Chairman, Board of Directors of Southeast Bank Ltd., former President of the FBCCI and Director of Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL). Harun was also Vice President of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Vice President, Confederation of Asia Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI). He is a member of the Board of Governors of North South University and the Board of Directors of Policy Research Institute (PRI). He is the Chairman of the Daily Observer, a national English Daily.
Harun is associated with a number of companies in the field of Shipping, Real Estate and Hotel etc. He is actively associated with a number of Socio-Cultural organizations as donor and life member.
