Brendan Taylor had admitted to being hurt by Zimbabwe's batting in Dhaka and has remodeled his line-up at the cost of a bowler. John Nyumbu, the offspinner, had bowled only 16 overs in the first Test and has been dropped in favour of Malcolm Waller. Brian Chari gets a Test debut and has forced Vusi Sibanda to the sidelines. Natsai M'shangwe, the legspinner, will play his first Test as well and slots in as a straight swap for Tafadzwa Kamungozi.

But it will be the Zimbabwe bowlers who will have to set this Test up after Mushfiqur Rahim, with the comfort of a 1-0 lead, decided to bat on a "very good flat wicket."Bangladesh arrives in Khulna with their own batting concerns, but their only change was to sit Al-Amin Hossain aside for the local boy Rubel Hossain. The pitch does not present the most welcoming picture to quicks though.
