Bangladesh v Zimbabwe, 2nd Test, Khulna
Brendan Taylor had admitted to being hurt by Zimbabwe's batting in Dhaka and has remodeled his line-up at the cost of a bowler. John Nyumbu, the offspinner, had bowled only 16 overs in the first Test and has been dropped in favour of Malcolm Waller. Brian Chari gets a Test debut and has forced Vusi Sibanda to the sidelines. Natsai M'shangwe, the legspinner, will play his first Test as well and slots in as a straight swap for Tafadzwa Kamungozi.
But it will be the Zimbabwe bowlers who will have to set this Test up after Mushfiqur Rahim, with the comfort of a 1-0 lead, decided to bat on a "very good flat wicket."Bangladesh arrives in Khulna with their own batting concerns, but their only change was to sit Al-Amin Hossain aside for the local boy Rubel Hossain. The pitch does not present the most welcoming picture to quicks though. The grass was closely and evenly cut and there was some moisture, but it might be the spinners who will be making the plays again.
