Bangladesh set a target of 314
Bangladesh have set a target of 314 runs for Zimbabwe to chase in the final day of the second Test match at Khulna’s Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium today.
Zimbabwe is expected to get at least 68 overs to chase the target in the remaining hours of play.The Tigers declared at 313 after the wicket of Shuvagata. They managed to score 47 runs this morning playing almost 20 overs and losing four wickets after Bangladesh began the day with 201 on the scoreboard and five wickets in hand.The wickets of Mahmudullah and Taijul were lost early into today’s play. Bangladesh could not accelerate the run rate since then.
Earlier, both Tamim and Shakib, who scored a century to amass a total of 443 in the first innings after the Tigers won the toss and chose to bat, failed to shine with the bat in the second innings.Zimbabwe were bowled out for 368 just before lunch in their first innings on the fourth day with Masakadza scoring a career-best of 158 and Chakabva 101.
