IBBL holds prayer session, marking National Mourning Day

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited on Saturday organised a discussion and a doa mahfil, marking the National Mourning Day, as well as 41st death anniversary of the country’s founding president, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Islami Bank Tower, in the capital.
The chairman of the bank, Mustafa Anwar, addressed a discussion as chief guest while the managing director and CEO, Mohammad Abdul Mannan, presided over the function, said a press release.
Mustafa Anwar said Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had a great dream to build a Golden Bangladesh through accomplishing economic emancipation.
He had struggled all his life to make a hunger-free, illiteracy-free, secular, happy and prosperous Bangladesh.
Islami Bank has been partnering the government initiatives in implementing the dreams, thoughts and ideology of Sheikh Mujib, he added.
He expressed his firm commitment to play strong roles in Bangladesh’s economic growth, balanced development and poverty eradication.
Among other vice chairman of the bank, M. Azizul Haq, chairman of executive committee, professor Syed Ahsanul Alam, chairman of audit committee, Helal Ahmed Chowdhury, and bank directors professor Qazi Shahidul Alam, Md Syful Islamand and Md Joynal Abedin were present as special guests.
