Blast rock Narayanganj court

The Narayanganj District Judges Court was rocked with the an explosion on Thursday noon triggering panic on its compound and surroundings. The explosion took place at the toilet of the court building that broke all the windowpanes. The police and others concerned could not ascertain what had caused the explosion. Police found a number of Bangladeshi coins of various denomination from the spot and believed that they might be used a splinters in a crude bomb. The police arrested an elederly beggar from the toilet. Narayanganj additional police superintendent Subrata Kumar Haldar said they were suspecting that explosion was of a crude bomb and held a woman, who uses to beg alms in the area. The arrested woman Champa Begum,70, said she had left her bag at the court toilet and went there to take it. However tight security measures have been taken after the incident, they were investigating the matter, Subrata said.
