5 injured as gas cylinder explodes in Gazipur RMG factory

At least five people were injured as the cylinder of compressed natural gas of a pick-up van exploded on the premises of Ahsan Composite Mills at Palli Bidyut area of Kapasia in Gazipur on Saturday.Of the injured one was identified as Haider Ali,30, a security guard of the factory .All the injured were send to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition.

Gazipur industrial police sub-inspector Ashim Kumar Madak said the gas cylinder of the rented pick-up van exploded when it was about to leave the factory after loading goods at about 10:00am leaving five people including the security guard , pick-up driver and his assistant injured .The injured were taken to local Dewan General Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as their condition deteriorated.
