Khadiza to get justice quickly: Home minister

Home minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Saturday said that stern actions will be taken against the culprit who attacked college student Khadiza Akhter Nargis recently. 

‘Not only charge-sheet but also the trial would be held quickly of the attacker, who attempted to kill Khadiza,’ he said while addressing a function as the chief guest at University of Asia Pacific in the city.

The University of Asia Pacific and Bangladesh Society for Total Quality Management jointly organised a programme entitled ‘ninth national annual quality convention on education.’

The minister said the government has already taken necessary action against the culprit and to this end the law enforcement agencies arrested him and took confessional statement.

‘There is no room for any criminal or terrorist in the soil of Bangladesh. You would see justice will be ensured quickly,’ Khan said.

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology unit of the ruling Awami League-backed student body Chhatra League assistant general secretary Badrul Alam hacked Khadiza on October 3 when she came out of her examination hall at Murari Chand College in Sylhet city.


Among others, chairman of board of trustee of the university Quaium Reza Chowdhury and principal of Tejgaon College delivered their speeches.
