DB arrest ETV chairman Abdus Salam

The Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested Ekushey Television chairman Abdus Salam in front of the office early Tuesday. Chief facility coordinator of the satellite channel, Syed Munna, said a team of DB police picked up Abdus Salam in front of the office around 3:30am. They also beat up his driver, he claimed. DMP police officials confirmed the arrest. He was arrested in connection with a case filed under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act with the Cantonment police station, the DMP officials said.
