RAB detain former BNP lawmaker

Members of Rapid Action Battalion detained Bangladesh Nationalist Party joint secretary general Mohammad Shahjahan and its executive committee member Belal Ahmed at Gulshan in the capital on Monday morning.A team of RAB-1 detained Shahjahan, the former lawmaker of Noakhali, and Belal at Gulshan this morning, said Major Rumman Mahmud, deputy director of the battalion’s media wing.They were held on allegation of conspiring against the government, the officials said.
