India won the toss and elected to bat first in their World Cup quarter-final match against Bangladesh in Melbourne on Thursday. Mashrafee bin Murtaza returned as Bangladesh captain after a break in their last group match against New Zealand. Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam made the way for Mashrafee. India fielded an unchanged squad.
