406 hajj pilgrims likely fail to fly for visa problems

Over 400 Bangladeshi pilgrims are likely to fail to go to Saudi Arabia on Sunday by their scheduled hajj flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines due to visa complexities.

The hajj flight, which was scheduled to take off from Shahjalal Airport for Saudi Arabia at7:55pm, has been cancelled as its all 406 pilgrims are yet to get visas, said Shakil Meraj, general manager (PR) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

However, the fresh schedule to take the pilgrims to Saudi Arabia will be announced later, Shakil told UNB.
