In her introductory speech at Awami League Parliamentary Board meeting at Ganabhaban, Hasina said that staying at her Gulshan office for 91 days Khaleda caused enormous sufferings to people by citizens alive and setting buses on fire. ‘She [Khaleda] has taken to the streets to cause sufferings to the people again when peace has been restored,’ Hasina said. The prime minister came up with the statement a few hours her party men attacked Khaleda’s motorcade during electioneering for BNP-backed mayoral candidate at Karwanbazar. Hasian said that after being failed to resist any election in the past, Khaleda was now staging drama in the name of electioneering for her mayoral candidates. Hasina, also the Awami League president, alleged that sensing defeat in the mayoral elections, Khaleda was now trying to spoil the congenial atmosphere of the elections creating a terrifying situation.
