Gold worth Tk 3.5cr seized at Shahjalal airport
Customs officials on Sunday seized seven kilograms of gold worth about Tk 3.5 crore from a flight of Singapore Airlines at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
On a tip-off, a team of customs intelligence conducted a drive on the flight ‘SQ446’ coming from Singapore landed at the airport at midnight, said Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate director general Moinul Khan.
The gold was detected after scanning a consignment of clothes, he added.
