Khaleda sits with BNP policymakers

Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday night discussed with her party’s top policymakers about the political situation and organisational activities during her stay in London.
The meeting of the BNP standing committee decided that the party chief would visit Rohinga camps in Cox’s Bazar early next week, said sources present in the meeting.
The meeting began at Khaleda’s Gulshan office at about 9:00pm and lasted for more than one hour.
The meeting reviewed party activities carried out in absence of Khaleda and emphasised on gearing
up organisational activities, a standing committee member said.
The meeting resolved that the outcome of the meeting between Khaleda and Indian external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj in Dhaka on Sunday was satisfactory, the sources said.
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir would brief media this morning at the party central office over the standing committee meeting.
Fakhrul, Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Moudud Ahmed, Jamiruddin Sircar, Mahbubur Rahman, Tariqul Islam, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Mirza Abbas, Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, Nazrul Islam Khan and Amir Khoshru Mahmud Chowdhury, among others, attended the meeting.
